Venerable Khenpo Tsering Tashi is the founder of Yeshikhorlo Tibetan Buddhism Association in Australia, Taiwan and Malaysia. He will teach in Tibetan with English translation.

About Khenpo Tsering Tashi

Khenpo Tsering Tashi was born in Tibet in 1976. Ordained as a monk at the age of sixteen he has studied and received empowerments from preeminent masters within the Mindroling, Sakya and Kagyu lineages

Khenpo was imprisoned in 2003 for two years after Chinese officials claimed that a book he wrote, titled “The future of Tibet” was against Chinese policy. After he was released in 2006, Khenpo left Tibet for India. There he continued his studies under the guidance of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, His Holiness Sakya Trizin, and Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse.

In 2012 Khenpo Tsering Tashi established the Wheel of Wisdom, a Tibetan Buddhist Center of Study and Practice in Taipei. Khenpo also gave teachings regularly in schools, prisons and nursing homes.

In 2016 Khenpo Tsering Tashi resettled in Sydney under the arrangement of the UN Refugee Agency, Humanitarian program. Khenpo has explained his own aspirations as to how he could best serve here in Australia, saying that in addition to offering dharma teachings he would like to offer teachings in the form of life education to school students, minority groups or prisoners. He hopes to improve his English quickly so that he will be able to teach without the aid of a translator within a few years.
