Contemplating Reality | A retreat with Andy Karr and Lynne Friedman | Sydney & Online
April 18 @ 8:30 am - April 25 @ 5:00 pm
What happens when you combine the peace, clarity and spaciousness of meditation practice with a profound and insightful exploration of Buddhist philosophy?
Join Andy Karr and Lynne Friedman on this eight-day urban retreat, for a meditative journey combining Western inquiries into the nature of consciousness with classical Buddhist investigations into the nature of mind. Through contemplative practices, guided exercises that unpack difficult concepts and encourage experiential understanding, and a generous program of meditation sessions, this retreat will open the way for you to discover and embody deep insights into the nature of reality, the vast compassionate potential of our own heart and mind, and the buddha nature that is within each of us.
Drawing on the insights laid out in Andy Karr’s two books Into the Mirror and Contemplating Reality, this retreat provides an accessible, structured entry way into Buddhist philosophy and powerful examples of how that philosophy can be put into practice in our daily lives.
