Loving Kindness and a Clear Mind in a Queer World
A Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Event
Join us for an inspiring and inclusive evening of meditation, contemplation and open discussion.
Identifying as LGBTQIA+ often comes packaged with deep questions about your own identity and a search to find an accepting, affirming community. Buddhist meditation and compassion practices offer grounded, practical tools to support the journey of finding answers to those questions and our community of meditation practitioners welcomes and supports everyone.
At Power Up Your Heart, we’ll share :
- A guided meditation
- A loving kindness contemplation honouring the hurt LGBTQIA+ people experience
- Free flowing discussion
- Drag performances and some music to lift the mood
- Light refreshments
